How We Hire

At Beanworks, we hire “A” players, and our recruitment process helps us to find those rock stars and superstars! Be your wonderful self throughout the interview process; we want to know what you are passionate about, and what skills and experience you can bring to the Bean Team. Currently we are conducting most interviews virtually, but we may ask you to come in person to the office (wherever possible) towards the end of the process.

Right throughout the process, we encourage you to ask questions at every stage. This is an opportunity for you to see if the role and Beanworks is a fit for you, too!

Phone Interview

A 30 minute phone/zoom interview with a member of our recruitment team so we can get to know you beyond your resume, and learn more about what makes you you. If we think you could be a good fit for the position and for Beanworks, we’ll send you the Plum.

Plum Assessment

A 25 minute competency assessment that gives us an insight into your characteristics; how you think and behave, and what you’re good at. We are matching up your profile with the competencies required for the specific position. It’s not a pass or fail, we just want to know what energizes and drains you!

Technical/Panel Interview (If applicable)

Some roles require a ‘skills assessment’. For example, our sales team conducts a panel interview, our engineering team conducts live coding interviews with follow up assessments. We want to assess your technical skills, the way you work under pressure, and your ability to problem solve.

Topgrading Interview

A longer, in-depth interview with the hiring manager and 1-2 others. We deep dive into your education and work history, to see how your experiences have shaped you. Be prepared also for some questions pertaining to your plum assessment and/or scenario-based questions.

Final Departmental Interview

Congrats on making it this far! The department head wants to meet you to ensure your skills and aspirations align with the department's needs and company vision.

Offer Letter & References Checks

Welcome to the Bean Team! We extend a job offer to you, pending the finalization of three professional references, and in some cases, a background check.
