Happy Holidays Everyone!
As the year comes to an end, I always like to take a moment to reflect on things. Well, 2016 has been a busy year for all our little Beanbots. We built new features, added new integrations and expanded our partnerships.
We are pleased to share with you that both Intuit and Sage Accounting selected BeanworksAP as the best AP automation system to use in 2016. We were named one of the top ten apps in the QuickBooks Online store and Sage Accounting has selected us as their official AP Automation add-on. We almost doubled in size in 2016, and expanded outside North America to Hong Kong and Europe! As Sage’s partner, 2017 and onwards will be very busy!
In 2016, we also expanded our product to include online payment workflow, which we call BeanPay. Over half of our customers have now opted to start paying their invoices this way. Here’s what they are saying:

Beanworks has not written a check in over 12 months and I can say that I am addicted to BeanPay. Now here is a world’s first: I approved and released a payment at 32,000 feet while flying in an airplane. That added a whole new spin on “cloud accounting”!
The Bean Team once again participated in Startups Care this holiday season. We appreciate any support our clients feel comfortable contributing and thank those who have already done so!
Here is a preview of what we plan for 2017:
We have started building our new Expense Receipt add-on and Credit Card Reconciliation section to complete an end-to-end P2P system. Earlier this year we had announced a partnership with a company that provided a version of this – but as it turned out it was not the best solution for our users. We want only the best for our clients, so we have assembled a client advisory group to help us in designing the perfect system. We welcome your feedback! And a big thank those who have offered to help in advance.
The goal is to build a way to easily collect receipts from employees and automate the process to submit them. We believe we can leverage BeanworksAP’s existing features and add some fun, and the result will be a more automated, useful and seamless way to help your company get the spend data it needs in real-time. Stay tuned, we hope to have a Beta version in Q2 of 2017. We have also committed to a list of feature enhancements and will be working towards completing them throughout the year.
So, in 2017 we will expand the product and work on world accounting automation domination!
